Let's do the math. As the median American income hovers around $52,000 that would be a good comparison for the so-called tax relief offered by the two candidates. McCain offers these people $319 while Obama offers $1,042. That's 3 times what McCain gives back. It's 7 times for the $38K and under and 30 times for the under $19K. Even the $112K get more tax relief.
The $113K and upward income group benefit from John McCain, but that is a given. Take that over half-million group, the $603K folks for example. Their McCain tax cut of $45,000 represents 7.5% of their income. On the other hand, the $319 he offers to the $52K median income earner represents 6/10 of a percent of their income.
Math doesn't lie.
