The man has to be the greatest traitor in American history. Dick Cheney puts business interests ahead of the citizens he swore to protect. Those early 2001 closed-door meetings he conducted with the top executives of the oil, gas and coal industries opened his 8-year fascist movement and now, in the waning days of his administration, he, once again, puts business ahead of the citizens.
The headline: Cheney in Azerbaijan for talks on Georgia, energy.
The story line:
BAKU, Azerbaijan (CNN) -- U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney arrived in Azerbaijan's capital of Baku Wednesday , the first stop of an overseas trip that will also take him to three former Soviet republics -- less than a month after the conflict between Georgia and Russia began.
That crisis will be a top issue on Cheney's agenda in Azerbaijan and further stops in Georgia and Ukraine. Cheney also plans to travel to Italy as part of the trip.
Azerbaijan, which borders Georgia and Iran and sits along the Caspian Sea, is an oil and gas-rich nation and a key U.S. ally in the region.
The man has no shame. He should have been impeached long ago. The fact that Congress did not move forward on Articles of Impeachment will haunt the governance of this nation for decades to come. It sets a clear precedent that the Executive Branch stands alone, above the other two, and cannot be impeded from moving forward with any plan they wish to drop on the citizens.
Never in our history has such a situation been allowed to proceed. It may be the death knell of our American democracy.

A little exaggerated there don't you think. So he's oversees talking about our energy interests. That's just a big no no.
a little naive of you, fonso_2000.
You are typically disconnected from what has actually been occuring in Eastern Europe.
If you could get your information from some reality based source maybe you might have a radically differeent version of the events of the last 2 months.
Even the right wing press here in Europe is factually reporting the real chain of events in Georgia now.
All you are interested in is making sure the spin that you want to believe is what you see.
I'm not interested in your spin.
I provided facts and analysis of the players involved and the covert actions of Cheney's "shadow" government, but reality to you is just "weird Commie crap". Brush off reality, ignore it and will bite you in the ass when you least expect it!
Several things occur to me with the comments of fonso. I do not wish to 'beat him up' for his comment, yet I must make these points.
First, the main point of my posting is governance and the refusal of Congress [Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid] to move forward with the impeachment of the Vice President. That inaction becomes a precedent which will make it nearly impossible for the next Congress to take appropriate action against the next sitting Vice President.
Secondly, as microdot points out, Cheney is not looking out for the interests of the United States- he is looking out for his CEO friends in the oil business.
Third, again as pointed out, one must look at gray areas and nuances when discussing geopolitical issues. American media typically paint black and white pictures for the American audience who have proven that they cannot digest nuance.
"overseas"
"our energy interests"
